ROKIT Healthcare (KOSDAQ: 376900, CEO Seokhwan Yoo), a leader in AI-driven organ regeneration platforms, has completed the development of its proprietary AI Cardiac Regeneration Patch engineered to replicate myocardial contraction and relaxation. The company has begun full-scale preclinical trials using myocardial infarction animal models in Korea and overseas.

Leveraging its prior collaboration with Germany’s Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering (Fraunhofer IBMT) and its accumulated expertise in biomaterials and cell-processing technologies from skin, cartilage, and kidney regeneration, ROKIT Healthcare successfully developed its independent AI Cardiac Regeneration Patch. This result reflects the company’s long-term vision of advancing next-generation, autologous cell-based AI regenerative therapies.

The newly developed AI Cardiac Regeneration Patch is designed to promote simultaneous regeneration of cardiac muscle and microvasculature. Key functionalities include electrical signal conduction and synchronized contraction guidance, structural reinforcement of the cardiac wall, localized delivery of stem cells and growth factors, and minimization of immune and inflammatory responses—ultimately aiming to restore damaged myocardium.

ROKIT Healthcare plans to validate the efficacy and safety of its technology through joint research with top-tier cardiovascular institutes worldwide and to expand indications to myocardial infarction, dilated cardiomyopathy, and heart failure.
